Arnout Groen

Arnout Groen has been an attorney since 2001 and a partner at Visser Schaap & Kreijger since November 2025. He litigates and advises on the full range of copyright, trademark and trade name law, design, and media law. He advises and litigates for publishers, TV and film producers, broadcasters, designers, advertisers and trademark holders. Arnout has litigated in numerous complex and groundbreaking cases before the Supreme Court and the Court of Justice of the European Union. Arnout has particular expertise in copyright levies and collective management, and the impact of EU law on national IP law.

Arnout is a member of the Association of Intellectual Property Litigation Lawyers (VIEPA), AIPPI, the BMM, the ALAI and the INTA. He is a member of the Benelux Council for Intellectual Property and co-author of the handbook ‘Kort Begrip van het Intellectueel Eigendomsrecht’ (A Brief Understanding of Intellectual Property Law), in which he wrote the chapters on copyright, database rights and neighbouring rights.
